Voter Registration Information
 
One way that a candidate can add to his vote count on election day is to motivate people who usually don't take advantage of their right to vote. Some people are too busy, some don't have a way to the polls and some are intimidated by the whole process. If its been a while since you've been able to cast your vote, we hope you'll consider your vote for Brad Balk to be as important as we do.

Here's How We Can Help
The State of Michigan is trying to make it easier for voters too. You can now check your status as a registered voter online. If you aren't registered, you can fill out a form online, and then print it out and either take it or mail it to your county, city or township clerk. If you won't be able to get to the polls to vote, you can request an absentee ballot from your local clerk.

This page lets you fill out the Voter Registration form online, and then print it out so you can either mail it to or take it to your county, city or township clerk:   Voter Registration Form  By Michigan law, you must be reigistered no later than July 7, 2008 in order to be eligibile to vote in the August 5, 2008 Primary Election. The cut off date for registration to be eligible to vote in the November 4, 2008 General Election is October 6, 2008.

And if you know you won't be able to make it to the polls on election day, then you can request an Absentee Ballot from your local clerk. The State has put the form online, and you can fill it out online, then print it out:   Absentee Ballot Request Form

All the forms above have instructions with them, but if you don't understand something or have a question, we'll do our best to answer it. The important thing is that we get you registered so you can say with pride that you voted for St. Joseph County's new Sheriff, Brad Balk.
